Benson, a young bee eager to explore the world outside of his hive. As he discovers how people live in New York City, he befriends a human florist, Vanessa Bloome (Renee Zellweger), and becomes outraged at the selling of honey, leading to a lawsuit and, of course, plenty of Seinfeldian misadventures. Helmed by directors Steve Hickner (THE PRINCE OF EGYPT) and Simon J. Smith (a member of the SHREK creative team), BEE MOVIE lightens Seinfeld's notoriously stinging humor for a family audience, while staying true to its inherent New York-bred quirkiness. This leaves room for the film to feature impressive (if anatomically incorrect) bug-oriented CGI animation and a solid supporting cast that includes Zellweger, Matthew Broderick, John Goodman, Chris Rock, and Ray Liotta (who plays a honey-peddling animated version of himself). Although it inhabits some of the same insect-populated territory as A BUG's LIFE and ANTZ, BEE MOVIE also nods to THE GRADUATE (admittedly a Seinfeld favorite) in its restless protagonist, resulting in a playful and thoroughly entertaining film that even manages to work an environmental message into its colorful palette.

Here's why: They are without question the SEVENTH BEST bluegrass band in the country. However, it is a little known fact that a heinous conspiracy dictates that there are can only be SIX full-time, national-touring bluegrass bands in America. Undaunted by this repression, Cedar Hill has squandered (devoted) their talents building a dedicated following (OK, so the following consists of one guy named Bob Perl) and has rightfully earned a reputation as Atlanta's MOST ENTERTAINING bluegrass band.

Featuring Cedar Hill
Artist's Website- www.duck-wave.com

RAIN OR SHINE

Free Concerts are opening seating (except tables-see below for pricing) so it is first come first served.

Doors open at 7:00pm
Bring a picnic and come early! It all begins with Kermit the Frog sitting in a swamp singing and strumming a guitar. Realizing he can use his talent to "make people happy," Kermit decides to head for Hollywood. During his trip, Kermit meets fellow Muppets Fozzie the Bear, the Great Gonzo, Miss Piggy, and an odd assortment of others who join Kermit on his song-filled journey. But before Kermit and friends achieve their dreams of stardom, Kermit must confront the man who's been trying to catch him since he left the swamp--a man who sees Kermit as a potential meal ticket. THE MUPPET MOVIE is a lovingly made, touching story for kids of all ages as only Jim Henson could make it. The film includes clever, very funny cameo appearances by Milton Berle, Mel Brooks, Bob Hope, Cloris Leachman, Steve Martin, Richard Pryor, Telly Savalas, and Orson Welles. Academy Award Nominations: Best Original Song ("The Rainbow Connection"), Best Original Song Score.

In fact, Po's defining characteristic appears to be that he is the laziest of all the animals in ancient China. That's a problem because powerful enemies are at the gates, and all hopes have been pinned on a prophesy naming Po as the "Chosen One" to save the day. A group of martial arts masters are going to need a black belt in patience if they are going to turn this slacker panda into a kung fu fighter before it's too late. -- © DreamWorks

His reign as King of the Blues has been as long as that of any monarch on earth. Yet B.B. King continues to wear his crown well. At age 83, he is still light on his feet, singing and playing the blues with relentless passion. Time has no apparent effect on B.B., other than to make him more popular, more cherished, more relevant than ever. Don't look for him in some kind of semi-retirement; look for him out on the road, playing for people, popping up in a myriad of T.V. commercials, or laying down tracks for his next album. B.B. King is as alive as the music he plays, and a grateful world can't get enough of him.

B.B. continues to tour extensively, averaging over 250 concerts per year around the world. Classics such as "Payin' The Cost To Be The Boss," "The Thrill Is Gone," How Blue Can You Get," "Everyday I Have The Blues," and "Why I Sing The Blues" are concert (and fan) staples.

Artist Web Page - www.bbking.com
Opener - TBA

Gates open at 5:30pm
Ticket Prices (includes tax):
    $20.00 - Lawn
$42.00- Terrace 2 Left and Right
    $49.75 - Terrace 1 & 2 Center
    $300.00 - Table (Seats 4)

To order season tickets:
Download the 2009 Season Ticket Order Form below mail or fax it in or come by the Mable House Box Office.
To order individual tickets:
1. Online Ticketmaster www.ticketmaster.com
2. In person at the Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre Box Office (no tickets sold by phone)
3. In person at Jennie T.

Set in the 1930s, this musical tale introduces the singing Sanders family, who perform their traditional and bluegrass gospel songs for the members of the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant, NC. Pastor Oglethorpe welcomes the family to the church, where their individual stories and beliefs are shared during the concert. The audience serves as the members of the congregation.

The score of Smoke on the Mountain consists of almost thirty gospel tunes, all of which could have been performed at the time by such a group. There is a pleasant mixture of energetic rousing numbers, plaintive hymns, and soulful praise songs. The songs vary from the well known, such as "Amazing Grace" and "I'll Fly Away," to the more obscure ones, such as "Filling Station" and "Christian Cowboy".

The story, conceived by Alan Bailey and written by Connie Ray, is an extremely well rendered one. Rather than just a concert of old-time Christian hymns, Smoke On The Mountain is truly a musical. The characters are well developed and realistic, there is sufficient back story, and the dialogue is never trite. Many of the songs supply further clarification or reinforcement of the book and personal stories provided. The presentation of the characters' faith and beliefs is inspiring and personal, yet never preachy.

Gates open at 6:30pm
Ticket Prices (includes tax):
    $15.00 - Lawn
$18.00- Terrace 2 Left and Right
    $18.00- Terrace 1 & 2 Center
    $200.00 - Table (Seats 4)

$18.00- Terrace 2 Left and Right
    $18.00 - Terrace 1 & 2 Center
    $200.00 - Table (Seats 4)

To order season tickets:
Download the 2009 Season Ticket Order Form below mail or fax it in or come by the Mable House Box Office.
To order individual tickets:
1. Online Ticketmaster www.ticketmaster.com
2. In person at the Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre Box Office (no tickets sold by phone)
3. In person at Jennie T.
